Hi My name is Diane. I am the Practice Nurse
I qualified as a Registered General nurse from Preston School of Nursing in 1987 and went on to be an Anaesthetic Nurse at Chorley Hospital.
Embarking into midwifery and then spent 15 years working and raising my family in South Africa.
I have been a Practice nurse for about 18 years. Specialities are Asthma / COPD/ Cytology / Child and adult Immunisations amongst other many Practice Nurse Duties.
I love dining out and travelling.
Our Practice Nurses work in the treatment room and are responsible for the following routine services:
- Blood / urine screening
- Cytology screening
- Registration health checks
- Immunisation
- Holiday vaccines
- Minor surgery procedures
- Health promotion

I joined the team at Kingsfold Medical Centre in April 2017 and worked as a notes summariser, back up data input clerk. I am now the digital champion lead and health and safety lead at the practice.There are also other aspects of the job which I manage on a regular basis, these include :

I have worked at Kingsfold Medical Centre since September 1990. I am the only full-time employee, with the exception of the Practice Manager. My current role is that of Secretary and part-time computer operator.
Roles and Responsibilities:
My time is divided between the general running of Reception and computer work which includes:-
- Typing all referral letters and inputting hospital letters onto the computerized patient records by scanning on a daily basis
- Registration links ensuring that patients' records are updated on a daily basis.
- Shared responsibility for IOS Links
- Responsibility for maintenance and upgrading the computer system
- I share responsibility for day to day running of the surgery in the absence of the practice manager.

Katie O’Donnell – Clinical Pharmacist
I am the Clinical Pharmacist at this surgery. I work here Monday, Wednesday and Friday and have been part of the team since October 2021. My role involves conducting medication reviews, optimising your current treatment and assisting you with any medication queries you have. I may also review your long-term chronic conditions. This allows the GPs to focus on diagnosing and treating patients, giving you better access to healthcare when you need it.
I graduated from The University of Manchester in 2007 and have previously worked in community pharmacy in Preston and as a clinical advisor at NHS111 covering the Northwest of England. I currently work for Greater Preston Network Group which covers ten local practices.
Lorraine Jones - GP Assistant

Suresh Machado - Advanced Clinical Practitioner
We are delighted to inform you that we now have our Advanced Clinical Practitioner, Suresh Machado, who is also a physiotherapist working for us every Wednesday. He will be working closely with our doctors to provide best patient care.

- All soft tissue injuries, Sprains, Strains or sports injuries.

- Spinal-related pain in arms or legs, including nerve symptoms. eg pins and needles or numbness.
